Hi,

Thanks for your feedback. We've updated the following:
  • Yellow player name is easier to read.
  • "Stacked" layout has been improved (much less height taken)
  • Discard zone: numbers are bigger & easier to read
  • FIX: card not removed from discard with Flamboyant expansion
  • Arrows added next to player names to give the direction of cards drawn
We are working on 2 importants fixes:
  • Some of you with iOS devices has issues when loading the game. It seems to concern only some devices, and only some Safari versions. We are working on this problem which is very hard to address.
  • Some of you reported cards that are played/discarded when selected. If you met this situation, please write your table number + move ID in the appropriate bug (here: https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=27594). As we can't reproduce the problem at now, the most cases we got the easier it will be for us.

Yes, what about the clue system? The game is all about giving clues and everyone is complaining, please fix that too.

This new interface is awful, but the awfulness isn't as close to your attitude, sourisdudesert, towards everyone's feedback. Everyone is raising legitimate criticism. 99% of Hanabi players disapprove of it and all you do is to insist that it's an upgrade and ignore everyone's request to get back to the old interface, or at least offer a choice for the players to choose the old interface.

REALLY? are you kidding us? that nobody wants this version (except those 400 anonymous people). Do you want 17 more pages of people requesting the previous version or are you having a pulse with us?

If I was on the development team, I’d be wanting to press ahead with the new version too. There’s no way I’d want to support two distinct versions, trying to keep them both working, while trying to improve the new. It’ll be a small team (are they paid? I thought the devs were volunteers here) and if they moved back to the old version, there’s no way they’d get it off the ground again.

I think there’s some improvements to be made, but the worst problems will get fixed quickly, and the secondary issues will improve in time.

And I’d rather play the new version and see it improve than go back to the old and never have the development again.

Okay, so let's make things clear: nothing, even something you don't like, can justify a personal attack like this.

We worked hard on this new version, which is the new official version of Hanabi, and we continue to work hard to fix the last bugs and take into account your feedback, as you can see with the continuous update since the release.

Now, if this thread is just a collection of "your attitude is awful" and "I want the old version and nothing else", well, we will just stop reading this thread because it's absolutely pointless.

We will not go back to the old version: we want to have the most advanced and recent version of all games, and this include Hanabi. So if you want to help, please move forward, make constructive suggestions (on this version) and stay polite. Thanks.

By the way: the annoying bug which sometimes make a card played instead of discard has been fixed.

Sorry to say, but I really don't like the new interface. It's very uncomfortable and confusing. It would be great to get an option, where one can choose the old illustration. This way Hanabi is no longer any fun at all. How could 400 players approve such an awful and user-unfriendly interface.

Just a question : we have sometimes to give “empty clues” that lead to negative clues. This is supposed to be authorised in the rule book. At the moment, this is impossible. Why ?
