Progress in the Arena mode

I don't understand how the progress work in the arena. I've been plaing sushi go on it, Everytime I win, I gain only 1 or 2 star and everytime I lose, I lose 4 or 5 star. making it almost impossible to upgrade from one ligue to an other.

If you lose against a low-rank player, where you, a 'good player' are expected to win, you'll lose more points.
You'll gain more if you beat an expert player.

Regardless, I have been hit by four-loss hits on Arena progress getting fourth, I never have gotten a four-win progress for a win. I just finished second of 4 and lost a point even though my ELO rating went UP! It's like trying to climb a greased pole!

Same thing again!! How do you lose progress finishing in the top half of participants? The person who beat all of us had a lesser ELO, but the two below had 200+ like me. That's ridiculous!!

Elo is irreverent in arena.

Arena only cares about what League you're in or EAS if you're in elite.

If you're playing a game with at least at least 4 leagues (is people are in platinum League), once you reach that yourself, change the settings to avoid people far from your level, you'll then always go up at least one if you win.

For games with more than 2 players, restrict it to only your level (silver League of higher) to avoid potentially losing one by coming second.
