Redisplaying final score table

Post by PirateKitten »

I've had feedback on my game from a player who would like to be able to re-open the final score table once they have closed it, or if they reload the page at the end of the game. This is because the score table breaks down the score calculation to show how the final score was achieved.

Currently I'm just using the standard tableWindow notification to show this table. This is done in a scoring state and the game immediately transitions to the gameEnd state once this.

If the page has been loaded after this notification has been sent, does the client have access to this particular notification in a log? I'm wondering if I able to somehow access it and create a means of redisplaying it.

This is a bit similar to the problem detailed at https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewto ... dow#p62100, as this also affects turn-based players as if they load the game after scoring is calculated, they will never see this dialog.

The trick is to include the tableWindow content to display in the getalldatas if the game is over, then display it in the js setup.
You can look for example at the Forbidden Island code on the studio (if I'm remembering well)

Thansk - do you mean manually replicating the display by showing your own HTML table on the page (noticed last night that 7 Wonders does this), or are you able to trigger the same tableWindow modal through JS?

The second option, you can trigger tableWindow from the JS.
