If you're going to complain, complain to them, not to BGA.

But frankly, would that be a worthwhile use of your time? This company has the rights to do anything they want with the game. You complaining about how they asked for a game to be premium...I'm sure you can imagine how important that's going to be: not very much.

Also, where is the publisher web page for complaints?
You can now voice your grievance by not paying for it :D

Christmas does not entitle kids to free gifts no matter how obedient they have been. Parents have to pay/buy presents too :D
Maybe next year, BGA will have a Black Friday sale :D

Hello

Hanabi premium ?!

This is the most impopular decision of the Year taken by BGA Team for thé community.

After do teaching the game for many non Hanabi players I will simply stop the game and all these New players I draged on BGA too. Thx a lot...

I just have to find another game for us.
I'm really sad for all of us.

PS : For those who talk about Editors, licence, etc... Just think First about the Real recipients of the BGA Hanabi experience and the community !
How many of us are premium ?
How many will go for a premium to continue to play Hanabi ?
Just do Math and convince these partners with figures !

I understand if a game that comes in a huge box is premium... Tzolk'In, Race for the Galaxy etc. But games like Love Letter, Hanabi etc just don't make as much sense. These should be the gateway games to bring in free players. If you make everything remotely interesting premium, people won't even come for those games. If there's less players to play with, even premium players would eventually leave as well.

Do that yourself !
I personnally completely understand this decision from the publisher point of vue.
These last months, I would bet that the physical sales were droping a lot. On the other hand, many new players are searching ways to play online, so making the game premium here could somehow compense a little bit the enormous loss in physical sales due to Covid.
The game is popular here so even if haters gonna hate and complain, I think there will still be a very large fraction of player that will keep playing (and thus paying) Hanabi here.

With Hanabi being in the top 10 games, I think we are still quite safe about the players pool here.

Did you want me to write the complaint letter for you too?

Dear Hanabi players,

We've been very happy to propose you the game for free during several years on BGA (more than 3.5 millions games played!).

Now it's time for it to join the BGA Premium catalog.

Like any other Premium games on BGA, only Premium members can create new tables, and afterwards anyone can join (even non-Premium).

Keep enjoying the game and see you at the tables!

we can't enjoy it now because there's rarely any tables on. especially for lower level. people are just doing with friends mainly since changing. and i doubt it will be top 10 for long because not as many people will be able to teach the game.

According to the past two days, Hanabi is still at more than 2% of total audience so still in the top 10.
