Invite friends

I'm an Alpha player. I find it great to be able to test the games before they are available. I like being able to find bugs to improve the game.

Unfortunately, I often have trouble finding other alpha players. I would love to be able to invite friends over so they can test the game with me.

Many of my friends do not have what is required to become an Alpha player on BGA.

Maybe the invitations in the lobby could by-pass the security 'game does not exist for this player'.

By the way, when you are in the group page of an alpha game, you can discuss with every players of that group. I hope it can help you to find more players.

The requirements (500 games played and so on) are not actually mandatory to play alpha games, they are mandatory to be a reviewer. But the developer of a game can manually add non-reviewers to the game group, so that these players are allowed to play this game. You can ask this (give the user names of the friends you want to play with) in the game forum in the alpha section (already lots of requests for some games), or message the game developer directly. Of course it is less convenient than just invite your friends, there's a delay, you must wait for the game developer (or a site admin) to manually add the users, but at the moment it's the only way to do this.
