Stone age tournament game time limits

I'm posting this because I've been playing in as many Stone Age tournaments as I find the last couple months and I've noticed a trend that many tournaments in this game have game time limits of 3 days total to finish the game. I've seen several games not finished due to time expiring. This has happened to me and I've seen it in games where I am not playing. I believe whoever sets up a tournament has the choice to set game time limit, but I'm not a premium member and I'm not sure on this. It has bothered me enough that I have dropped out of tournaments where game limits are anywhere under 5 days. I'm certainly not blaming anyone or saying that I think all tournaments need to have higher game time limits. I'm perfectly ok just sitting out those tournaments because I know there is a good chance I will not finish a game and it won't be a fun experience for me. I guess I'm just posting this to see if anyone else has any thoughts on this. If not, that's cool too! Have a nice day!

For all other games too, I am fully sharing your view. If you are sleeping sometimes and work or travel, you will probably get out of time. Also tournaments can run for months, so you even might have a game starting and be able to take your turn only the following day.

I'm in Australia, so out of sync with US. & UK & EU. I noticed that some players in tournaments (Stone Age definitely) use the time limit as a strategy to gain a win, once they are ahead, time wise, they avoid having a turn, even though they continue to play other games, very frustrating!
I'm currently playing in Stone Age Champion Champ9 Max. I'm currently waiting for my opponent to have first move, he did not finish due to time his last, & probably quite a few others in this tournament, his reputation is bad, but I'm not sure why... this guy can have 2days left, when game should have started over 11hrs ago? Does the timer start after the first move?
& why is his page impossible to access, and comes up as HTTP ERROR 500?
