Carcassone Player Count (Max now is 5 but IRL 6)

Hey everyone, I'm new here but I love Carcassone and in my home I can play with 6 players while using the expansions. I see that this question has been asked but not answered in the past. Are there any plans to up the player count in the future? I am happy that you are adding expansions but a part of that promise is also to increase the player count. I would love to get a "yes we are actively working on this", but I would settle for a "No sorry, not possible". I just do not like the uncertainty of it. This issue would be a reason I would not buy Premium again if it was never addressed. Best, Ed

I did ask this some time ago but haven't received an official response. The best I got was in the bug report:
Thank you for the suggestion. This would need approval from the publishers and admins. Changing status to awaiting.
