Race for the Galaxy source

I've found the race for the galaxy implementation to often be buggy and wanted to take a look at the source code.

Searching through the Studio Projects here (https://studio.boardgamearena.com/projects), I see Roll for the Galaxy, but not Race for the Galaxy under already published.

Why isn't race for the galaxy listed in Studio Projects?

Probably because that was developped before the studio even exists.

The game was not developed on Studio, but it should be possible to install it on it.

Adding it to studio would make it easier to fix bugs for this game. I have played thousands of games of race for the galaxy, and I get some form of error every third game or so.

It is currently on the studio, but the checkbox "Allow other studio developers to get readonly access to this project source code" isn't checked. I'm not sure why. I have asked confirmation to the admins if I can check it.

Be aware that the game was one of the first developed for BGA (not by me) and that the code is not the prettiest one. I have taken over the maintenance after the expansions have been implemented (it was very buggy). I spent months fixing bugs and improving the interface but I've mostly stopped. I have been finally dabbing into the Orb code recently. I'm well aware that there are still many bugs, but I'm not affiliated with BGA and only doing this on my free time. Some help would be welcome!

Well, the admin have answered and it's now available in read only
Note that there is also a clone project on which I can give write permissions. So if anyone want's to play around with the code and test bug fixes, ask me and I'll give you read/write access to the clone project. There's a github for it too.

Can you post a link to the github? My googlefu is failing me.

edit: the github is private. If you're willing to contribute, once your studio access has been validated by the admins, you'll also get access to the github.

For games developed by BGA (especially premium games) they are not usually available on the studio. We can give access when a qualified developer requests it, but that's on a per case basis, so @Pocc please contact us at studio@boardgamearena.com if you are interested in helping galehar to squash some bugs. Also, the code of these games should not be uploaded on a public platform outside of BGA studio.

Hello Een,
Is the restriction only on the source code access or also on playing the game on studio to test stuff? I noticed that the Studio version of RFTG is set as alpha. Is that on purpose to limit access to the game on Studio?
