I couldn't find the answer to the following question in this FAQ:

Is the "only play with players of my level" option respectet in Arena Games? If not, how is the matching done?

And what does +1/+2 mean in regular games? I had the impression that the level refers to the league a player is in.

In my experience, yes it's respected. And I believe you're correct about the +1/+2.

So if you have only play with +/-2 selected and you are at Diamond, you will only be matched with opponents from Gold (-2), Platinum (-1), Diamond (0), and Elite (+1).

Have you (BGA) thought of having multiple arena modes for a specific game?
I mean, games that have great expansions, and people like to play competitively, could play in two Arenas, for instance, one containing only Base Game plays, and the second with an expansion.

Example:

- 7 wonders Duel Arena Mode Base Game and Arena Mode With Agora Expansion

- Carcassonne Arena Mode Base Game, Arena Mode Inns & Cathedrals+ Traders & Builders

When selecting the Arena, player would be prompted to choose which Arena to enter.

Food for though! ;)

Some games provide Achievements for Arena for top20 finishers, some others only for the top10,, another for the top5, and the less played for top3.

What are the rules to know it before the end of the season (nb players ? nb games ?)

Hello, I play for the first time in Arena Mode, at Seven Wonders Duel. Since I have joined the Elite League, I was always around the 200-300 position in the ranking but I have played around 20 games...without having any game against a TOP200 player.
I am a bit frustrated over that. How can it be that I receive only opponents below my ranking?
Can I set up something in order to have more chances to play against players better than me?
Or can we refuse to start a game (without loosing points)?
Thanks in advance for the feedbacks ;-)

There are over 1500 Elite players. Between them, you can't limit. Lower levels you should be able to limit with "only play with players of my level" option.

Is it intended that we can not look at our finished arena games until we have played all the current ones? Seems a little odd to me.

Yea I think it is a little bit strange to first do something at a different game just to show the results in a finished game.

I wonder if there is a way to keep track of who starts the game so we can have a more fair competition. I played over 200 games and I do not believe I even started in 40 percent of them. Out of the last 50 games I do not believe I started 25% of the times. The result is that I went from over 300 elo to around 150.
I don;t know ether if there is a stat that indicates victories for starting players. I would say that starting players win over 60 percent of the times, but I am not sure if there is a number there.

To make the game more fair there should be a way to get everyone starting 50% of the times. I guess this should not be very difficult. Also changing the rule so the person who starts the game, would not choose who begins in age 2 and 3 would balance the game.

To go with this ^^^

For asymmetrical games like Tablut and Mr Jack - Who ever goes first makes a big difference.

I've played 2 consecutive Tablut games in Arena against the same player and I've playing white in both games.
