Can't Stop is not random

Post by Spudster »

I can't believe I witnessed the terrible junk that I witnessed. In a game I was leading and slated to win I lost because my opponent:

Got 3 12's in a row. No big deal right?
Stole 6's from me because he got 16 rolls in a row.
I busted and got zero rolls because 3's, 6's, and 10's were taken.
I lose

This is random???????.....

This forum is about non-BGA topics. So this happened in real life, and proves that randomness happens? Or did it happen on BGA, in which case it should be in the Can't Stop forums, where this discussion has already been shot down several times.

Yes, this is random. Randomness routinely creates odd situations, but because people are generally bad at understanding probabilities they generally try to ascribe a purpose to it (for good or for bad). Are you claiming that the game is deliberately treating you unfairly? Or Your opponent was using some kind of hack to get the numbers? Weird stuff just happens some times! I've seen people beat nightmarishly hard levels on Ninja Dice in the real world with absurdly lucky rolls, not just getting the right sides to land, but also getting the multipliers landing in the right direction.

There are parts of this video that delve in to some really weird coincidences

This is getting comical by this point, I wish I had a buck for every time one of these topics get posted. Seriously, just play something else if you can't deal with games that mostly deal with probability and luck-management. There are like 300 more games on the website.
