Re: Why I have been found guilty ? (multiple accounts)

Not sure what happened there and why the OP‘s accounts are still there, if there seems to be this precedent of not showing up in the rankings for multiple accounts.
Because his last Carcassonne game happened more than 60 days ago.

Strange things also happen in 7 Wonders... And also, in role games, like Love Letter or Werewolves. There are a lot of people who cheat, on this site, unfortunately.

Brisbane is one of those with multiple multiaccounts in the rankings which had his ELO reset.

So what is the solution? Nothing seems to have changed. I am sure there are a few that are interested in this grey area.

The problem is obviously solved, but one can only guess at what the problem or what the solution was.

Agreed. It's very bad form to go back and edit your earlier posts when other people have taken the time to comment on them. The discussion might be relevant in the future, but it won't be if significant parts of the discussion have been removed.

So, for everyone else's benefit: The original "problem" was that OP had set up several accounts and was using them to attempt to fill up the top of the Elo leaderboard for 6 Nimmt. The OP had been careful never to play the alts against each other. However, the alt accounts were suspended on the grounds of 'attempting to boost Elo'. OP accepted that such behaviour was questionable and accepted that the penalty was appropriate, but did not like that the reason given was incorrect, given that they had not attempted to boost the Elo of any account by playing one account against another.

No moderation actions have been taken against OP. OP merely challenged the fact that they received a 'guilty' verdict without penalty, while by all reasonable interpretation they should have been found 'not guilty', as also backed up by the moderation message for the 'guilty' verdict.

Though they did accept that what they did may warrant moderation provided the relevant rules reflected that before any action is taken against them.

You don't have to play against yourself to boost your elo in an unfair manner. If you play with a 2nd (or 5th) account with your 100 elo against high elo players and beat them, you rob them of their elo and their leaderboard rank. If the aim is to occupy the leaderboard, you don't necessarily have to boost yourself, you can also unfairly take away elo from other players. A loss against a high elo difference will take multiple wins in a row to get it back.

Same is happening in Carcassonne arena (I am sure elsewhere too) right now. Several players at the top play with their other accounts once they reach the top. Beating their other account won't give you the EAS score you should be getting against a top 10 or 20 win, and if you lose, you may lose more than you should be losing (if you are indeed higher ranked than the account in question). Instead of say +30 EAS, you'll get +15 and same for a loss, -30 instead of -15. Win or lose, it's a worse outcome no matter what. It's completely ok to want to preserve your ranking and stop playing, but play with the same account in normal mode for other games. Can always red thumb, but new accounts will keep showing up.

...
Agreed

Is the problem solved, really ? All the accounts are still appearing in the rankings
