Arena Season 3: let's go!

Can anyone please confirm the closing timing of Arena Season 3 in EST, please?

And also might this rule potentially might be abused, by starting as many games as possible near the dead-line against unsuspecting victims knowing they are unlikely to finish and simply make all your moves as quickly as possible.

The rules may evolve (we are still learning), but yes we may forbid the creation of new turn-based tables near the end of Arena so we can make sure there are no "innocent victims".

Just checking in what the status on this is. For some games there are already quite a lot of turnbased tables currently in progress, and if people can continue to open them the final ranking might see some very large and unpredictable changes just based on those turnbased tables ending.

Yes, turn based should be blocked...

Turn base it's already blocked:
"Sorry, turn-based Arena is closed for the 5 latest days of the Season. Please start a realtime game or wait for the new Season!"

How long until we know the final results?

Usually it takes between 2 and 4 hours. We must wait for all realtime games to stop, close turn based games, attribute trophies, ...

What does this mean for current turn-based games? I presume you mean they won't be abandoned...??
Do they instead count for next season? or do they just carry on but won't count for any season?

It's in the rules:
Turn based games are stopped, the player that used must time in the entire games loses the game and all others share the win.

I see, I missed that.

I totally understand and agree with the need for this rule, but...

Ironically my only game of Arena Medeira that hasn't timed out will now time-out because the end of the season, and on the very final phase of the game. I am likely now to finish in Arena 3rd place without finishing a game... that's not right.
And the original 2 games I played timed-out due to the reigning and current champion.

I think it would be best to punish the people that go over-time in Arena games from participating in future Arena games.

This is a terrible rule. The old system was much better, when the games could be finished, even though not counting to the Arena standings. I don't even care that I lost in a few games because of it, but we all lost the possibility to finish exciting games on several tables.
