I don't think it is a game from Queen Games. They're too dumb to allow any computerized adaptations of their boardgames on any site.

My guesses for the first game:
Kingsburg
Notre Dame
Louis XIV
Mississippi Queen

The other one is most assuredly Les dames de Troyes

Hello,

The special thing about these 2 games is the following: they are classic games that are intended to be used as examples for developers of BGA Studio.

The two games are Hearts and Reversi.

These 2 games will be published on BGA as any other games. Of course, they are plenty of websites where you can play these 2 nice games already, but we need simple games as examples for BGA Studio developer team so this is a nice occasion to add these two.

Note: the source code of Hearts and Reversi will be made available as soon as BGA Studio has been released.

man i'm super disappointed :(
when you guys implemented colorpop i was like "too simple!" but you can't get really simpler than hearts!
also i would have liked to see the code of something like troyes or seasons since they deal both with dices and random card shuffles and the like but i guess even something like hearts can help you with learning how the client/server comunication work and stuff like that

And how would the creators of Seasons and Troyes to know that the game code is free for anyone?

I think you have a good idea within simple games Board Game Arena, but somehow still exist complex games too.
I have a theory that there was more games simples like Chess or Checkers, more common people would come here.

Hello,

Oso is right, we cannot make any games available like this, and this is why we produced these 2 games.

Another reason is that the goal is to understand BGA mechanisms, not the games. Troyes and Seasons sourcecode is complex, and it would be hard for a developer to determine what is specific to a game and what is generic to BGA framework.

Anyway, you shouldn't be disappointed: we were in Essen last week to meet the game publishers, and we plan to release some very nice "BGA style" games in the next months ;)

Cheers,

gee is it such a big deal? i guess hearts has to do with a deck of cards anyway and there isn't much difference between managing a bunch of dice and managing a deck of card

For people complaining about the games, realize that it makes sense: one is a card game, and the other a board game.

They seem like they would be good examples to play around with. :)
