Quality of Life Changes

Hello all,

I just recently started playing on BGA and immediately noticed some hopefully simple quality of life changes that I think would help new user experiences.

-Please allow us to create a game from the games tab. I like to look at games in that tab but having to go back to Play tab is quite clunky imo.

-Please allow us to organize our favorites. Right now games get added to my favorites when I create a game and there is just a huge list of games overall. It would be nice if we could manually sort them.

-Could there be more descriptions in the games screen? Also could the expansions also be listed in the games screen? I feel this would be very nice to know.

-When creating the game is there anyway the creators could give information about what the table configurations are actually doing and what they add. Mostly I have to just try to google the answers for every board game. I also noticed some games have expansions as all yes/no while a few other games combined them all into one field which is confusing as a new player.
-For example when I play a game there are all of these options that I have no idea what they actually do. I see they are expansions but no idea if I
should use them or not without googling information. Dice Forge is probably the most confusing in this regard. I have no idea what all the options
actually do.

Overall I have really been enjoying the site and trying some new games.

All good suggestions, but you are not the first to think of most of them.

What do you mean by "more descriptions"? In any case, the actual text of the game description is set by the game developers, not by the site administrators.

Apparently listing expansions as a category (which would be a main site change) has also been suggested fairly recently, though it hasn't received any votes yet: https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=31237. It would be useful though.

Some games do provide information (like Letter Tycoon: https://i.postimg.cc/MK9Zp96k/Letter-Ty ... ration.png), but this is again up to the game developers, so you would have to submit a separate suggestion for each game you think would benefit.

Thanks for all the info, glad to know some of the things have been suggested and might get implemented.

That is interesting that descriptions can be added for expansions/variant rules but oddly pretty much all the games I played don't have descriptions when selecting expansions and stuff.

I did noticed recently that while playing if you scroll all the way down a lot of times expansions/variant rules are listed at the bottom of the screen which is helpful but would definitely like to know the descriptions while making the game.

I normally just check BGG about games so it definitely isn't a huge deal that the descriptions on the games page are normally just short and talk about the theme more than gameplay.
