Replenishing Time in Tournament games

Post by ojomojojojojo »

I saw that 4 player tournament games came out recently and I noticed I'm not the only one getting increasingly frustrated by the end result of them. I played a Sushi Go tournament recently where we were all allotted 6 hours and literally no games in that tournament finished. I know the simple solution here is ot to join the game if you see the time isn't suitable but a better amendment can be that we just be able to replenish some lost time the same way you would in regular turn based games. In regular games, at least I can get X amount of hours back when I make a move.

Does anyone know why there is a different mechanism for time on tournament games as opposed to regular games? At least if I can get 1 or 2 hours back when I make a move I won't be timing out like crazy. Some players are American and still sleeping when a European or Asian plays there turn. Replenishing a bit of time can be a simple solution.

I know it counts it as a draw in two player tournaments.

I assume everyone would share the points in multiplayer.
