SAVING and LOADING a game

Post by Happy Dragon »

There are two of us playing a 2-player REAL TIME version of the game. If we had played for say 2 hours and wished to SAVE the game and come back to it a week later, is this possible?

The game will auto-quit after a certain amount of time. Not sure how long. There might be a work around and I will leave it to someone else to say if they know.

Not useful here, but for future you could set the game up either as friendly, so there is no time limit, or as a slow turn based game. You can still play those games as if they are real time but obviously you and your opponent can take breaks.

I agree with RobertBr. All of my games are turn-based because there is no prohibition on playing faster than the time limit.

NO, don't use REAL TIME for a wargame.

I agree. A wargame like USE takes a very long time to play. Make it turn based.

I will add: a wargame like USE takes a very long time to implement!
OK, it's not World of Flame or ASL but interceptions, conditional events and amphibious invasions made me go crazy

If you do end in real time and wish to continue later, propose to make it turn based through the setting hamburger menu.

Leave it until you're ready to play again. Whoever's turn it is may run out of time if you leave it for a week, but as long as the other palyer doesn't click the skip button, all that will happen is you'll get a notice that you went over time via email, and a meaningless mark in your profile.
