Well, for me this is really bad: I am the admin of a group of 330 people and every week on Mondays I create a torunament and I send email invitation to each member of the group and these emails are very appreciated by th users as a remainder.
Now I can not do this anymore...
Wow, were you really copy/pasting 330 names in the invite field every Monday? This must have been really time consuming. Isn't it better to post the invite link to the new tournament in your group?
It wouldn't be better, but it would be an acceptable compromise if it worked.
1. It's not better, because significantly more people join a tournament with invitations, than without.
2. The tournament link doesn't work because of the mandatory minimum 100 Elo points. I always create a tournament for my group with the games freshly released, the goal being to learn the game. At that point almost nobody has a single match yet, so 0 Elo. The only way to bypass this requirement is to invite them by name.
If you use the specific invitation link you find when you create the tournament, then it works even if one does not have the 100 elo.
Do not use a generic link to the tournament.
You have to use the specific link you find in the setting window of the tournament. You'll find it if you go to the tournament page.
That way you avoid the 100elo limitations.

Still I complain because
1) with the invitation I was able to reach way more people. Some people was used to receive email invitation. Now they do not receive the email anymore, so they do not join anymore the tournaments...very bad! :\
2) I am trying to invite 50 people each day, but I do not understand when the counter resets itself. After 24 hours from the last invitation I sent? This is not clear...

Hello everyone.

How do you get the possibility to add an XP reward for a tournament you create?

Thank you

XP are calculated automatically based on ELO and number of participants.

But if you set your tournament more attractive, you could create a tournament with higher amount of XP:

- Set enough time per game (for turn-based at least 7 days per match) to avoid timeouts
- Set start time some days in future to allow joining of enough people
- You need at least 10 participants to get XP, so setting minimum number of participants to 10 combined with 7 days for joining is a good setting

Actually the maximum XP for a tournament is 300 XP.

Hello! Can anybody help me?
When I edit matches dates - I can choose "at a given date" and select day and time. Is that selected day-time mean, that players need to play their match BEFORE that day-time?

A quick question relation to setting up tournaments that I can't see an answer to: How does XP for winning tournaments get allocated when setting up a tournament?

The allocation of xp is not decided while setting up a tournament.
It comes as people join, with I believe a small contribution based on their elo value/rank.

You need at least 10 players to get any XP for the player that wins, and the maximum that can result is 300xp.

Excellent! Thanks for the confirmation - I hoped that would be the case!

Hi,

I want to set up a real-time 9-player tournament for a 3-player game in order to have optimal constellation for a Swiss system setup where everyone can play against each other player only once with 4 games (and doesn't have to wait while others play).

My unknowns here are:
- what is the number of games I have to enter in the configuration? ...4 (the number each player has to play) or 12 (the total number of games)?
- how good is the matchmaker implementation? Do I get this optimal constellation or is there a chance it screws up? (don't want to find it out after the tournament started)

Thanks for your answers
