Post by nccc »

Its nonsense that i CAN use 1 fire to untap the card, while its NOT tapped!
At least add a warning b4 doing this silly thing, plz.

I believe it's working as intended. You can use a power on a card if the card is untapped and if you can pay the cost. Even if the effect is not possible, effect is just wasted.

From the official F.A.Q. that you'll find there or on the Lux & Tenebrae Extension Rulebook
Q: On my turn, can I use a power that will produce no effect (to avoid having to pass)?
A: Yes, provided you fully pay the power’s cost.

It deffo isn't a bug.
Though it'll be super corner case, there are turns where you'd be okay with paying 1 extra essence just to make sure you do not have to pass yet and prevent your opponent from getting your current magic item.
So yeah, it's working as intended. :)

Since that's a very rare case, it's probably worth adding a confirmation windows ("Guard dog is already untapped, do you want to trigger this ability anyway?" against misclic.

You can misclick on every card which has a power using essence(s) without engaging the card.

I do not agree that Guard dog should be treated specifically. If a confirmation is provided in such a case, it must exist for all cards.
