Abandon a tournament

Post by Doppiag88 »

Hi everyone, I wanted to understand if anyone knows if it is possible to abandon a tournament, I'd like to renounce to play the rest of it but I don't find a way to retire. Should I abandon every single match? It means loosing points and karma. I don't see the reason why I can't just retire. Thx everyone

for turn based tournaments you can't. for real time if you don't show up for a match you are kicked from the tournament.

So presuming turn based, no there isn't a current way to do this, so if something has come up in your life that makes it too difficult to finish the games you've signed up for then yes you'll have to take the karma hit.

It could be a nice option for turn based that players who time out in 1 round are excluded from future rounds automatically.

It would also be nice to have a withdraw button, at least for the swiss style tournaments (single elimination (if 2 player you just concede current game and you are done, if 3+ player withdraw before next round starts could be an option) and round robin (with concurrent matches they've all started already so you aren't preventing any future games).
