Hanabi is now premium!

now i hardly find a suitable table to join i mean with masters or atleast good experts players . now most tables are created with lower ranks like apperentives its alittle unexprcted for me . i was one of the players who sets teaching tables befor but i am curious how new players are going to learn hanabi now ? i think in some month we cant even play with masters any more cauce those masters are the begginers who will becom a master without knowing any reall hanabi conventions

Well, not really "as there as ever been", since that was around 3.5% during the previous months, but that's indeed stable since the beginning of december, so no reasons to think it will go down.

I well know games market, i bet physical game will continue to drop, and the fact that Hanabi is premium now will have a negative impact on the game AND on sales.

Best moment to make premium Hanabi would be 2 years ago just after Chrismas, clearly not now.

Ok I am back as i promised and the figures havent changed at all for 3 months now, still going at 2.3% audience as it was right after the change.
So the publisher made the right bet here IMO

I was wondering if bugs for hanabi were looked upon ?
All of them are "open" or "awainting".

Some are quite annoying (https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=28155 and https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=27692 comes to mind since it affects the correct way to end games) and It's fair to think that premium games should be debugged faster than the others.

The user credited for developing Hanabi is arleq1, and they did not connect to BGA in the last 30 days, and did not played Hanabi in the last 5 months. It's probably fair to say that they are no longer an active developer of Hanabi.

The only other user to have recently fixed some bug is Sourisdudesert (one of the owners of this site). But members of the BGA boards tend to be on a lot of games at once, so Hanabi is probably not on their priority list currently.

It's fair to think that premium games should be debugged faster than the others.

BGA runs on willing developers. Those developers fix and improve the games of their choice. And since they're doing it for free, it's not really fair for us to expect them to focus on some specific games. I believe that sometimes some devs get pay to first implement a game (when the editor really want a quality game), but I'm not sure there is any paid developer for maintaining any game on BGA.

Once my paid subscription is over, I plan to stop playing Hanabi Grands Feux.
In a store, I can buy the old version. That is what I intend to play.
