How is Thinking Time calculated?

Post by NCJeff »

Can anyone relate how Thinking Time is calculated? I haven't been able to find that info.

Group of friends play regularly, we noticed that on a recent game, one that was new to most of us, that the time spent for the rules overview didn't seem to be included. I was the first player, rules overview lasted longer than my reported thinking time for the full game. Not a big deal, just interested in knowing what goes into it.

It's calculated based on average move for all players, and a percentage change for going to fast or slow.

You can see on the options what they give, and how much additional time you get per turn.

If you're worried about timing out because you're getting a rules overview, use training mode. The normal time limits assume everyone already knows how to play.

Oh in the statistics. That's listed as minutes when it's actually seconds.
