Arena map rotation

Dear players,

The current Arena season is closing soon. If you are interested to know what is coming next, we are planning to start a rotation of all maps and landscape configurations. Here is what to expect:
season 5: Loon Lakes landscape ON
season 6: Base landscape OFF
season 7: Fjords landscape ON
season 8: Revised landscape OFF
season 9: Base landscape ON
season 10: Loon Lakes landscape OFF
season 11: F&I landscape ON
season 12: Base landscape OFF
season 13: Revised landscape ON
season 14: Fjords landscape OFF
season 15: Base landscape ON
season 16: F&I landscape OFF
season 17: -> season 5

Keep in mind that the calendar is only an intention, not a 100% engagement. We will try to keep it that way if no other constraints appear.

I'm very excited by this overall rotation of options, hoping many others enjoy it. Glad to see BGA listening to feedback from the forums and all that.

Not that I'm advocating for it necessarily, but did you ever consider doing a season where the maps (and maybe landscapes, too) are random for each game? Perhaps such a season could be added in after every full rotation, for instance.

The same thought occurred to me in the past, and I think it would be very nice.

Exploring this idea further, consider this: which map and landscapes(on/off) options voted (with a short timer) before the auction, (abstained votes would not go to a random option and if there's a tie, a random choice between the winners is made) - I wonder how it would change our experience. Of course this would be extra work for the devs, but I'd love to try that much variety competitively. This would probably go even better after an auction system overhaul - but that's talk for another time.

And what about the new added Fire & Ice final scoring tiles?
It would be nice to see them at least in the upcoming 6th Season, because the naked Base map is just too common.
