Chinese Checkers

Post by chriskang »

Hi team,

I'm mostly done with my Chinese Checkers game. I had to create the project under the name "ChineseCheckersChriskang" because "ChineseCheckers" was already taken.

I received the following error message when I tried to create it :
Project chinesecheckers existed and has been deleted. You are not an admin of this project so you cannot reactivate it.

I'd like to overwrite the old project with mine before releasing an alpha version.
Would it be possible for an admin to delete the old project to make room for mine ?

Thanks.

Hi chriskang,

Congrats for your dev.
If you are not answered by the admins through this thread, I would advise you to send them a mail directly using this generic adress:
studio@boardgamearena.com
. They may see that request more easily.

If a temporary workaround is needed, you can still clone your own project and give it a more neutral name, such as ChineseChecker or ChineseChequers (UK spelling), before launching it in alpha. The game will be renamed correctly when it goes to beta no matter what.

All the best,

Wood

Thanks Woodruff, just a quick complement on this, actually the name must be good for launching in alpha, as the goal is not to clutter the prod systems with temporary name projects, and alpha is already in prod ;)

@chriskang as hinted by Woodruff, the proper way to request your game to go to alpha is to send an email to the studio address, as mentioned at the end of the pre-release checklist.

(Speaking of that, I take the opportunity (sorry for the HS): has my requirement for Arena Tock setting change for season 5 -though the studio adress- been acknoledged? I know you guys receive plenty of mails and the last thing I would do is to rush you, but the new seasons begins in five days ;) Many thanks!)

Sorry, I don't know everything :)
Just let us know early after the start of the season if somehow we missed this!
