Arena Points in Thurn and Taxis

I just had 2 arena matches calculate (neither ended) and drop me 3 points in each, to take me from 1st to 2nd. How is this determined? I thought it was by time if it was not done and if that is the case I am pretty sure I used the least amount of time. In each match there was one person making only one move per day. I also think I will eventually win both matches. This is frustrating because the person in first built a huge Arena lead and then stopped playing about 3 weeks ago.

This was a bug last season, they claimed they fixed it but clearly that isn't the case.
