Arena Mode game ending

I have an improvement suggestion for the way Arena games end. The new way is fair enough for Arena scoring, but why does the game have to be converted to a training game and lose all other meaning? Why can't it continue as a normal game, and the normal winners & losers get their ELO scores affected as appropriate?

Just to clarify - my suggestion is that the Arena mode games still in progress when the deadline is reached still have Arena-rankings affected by the current criteria, but not ELO. The game should convert to Simple Game mode, with the same time limits remaining for each person. The Arena results should be noted in the game progress bar, but the game should continue in Simple mode so that the game can be finished normally, and ELO rankings affected normally.

As a counterpoint, the only reason I joined the game was for Arena and when that is resolved, I’m appreciative of an opportunity to leave the game without penalty, which would presumably not be the case with your option.

I agree turning to training mode is a waste of time. Can the games not be converted to simple game so there is still meaning to winning or losing. If youre playing arena you don't need to play training games your trying to be competive so to change to training seems pointless
