Mattock in alpha

Post by A-dam »

Hi,

Mattock, new game by Drew Edwards, is now available in alpha.

In Mattock, you play miners digging corridors through the rock. You can’t dig too closely together though, or the mine will collapse. To win, trap your opponent so they run out of space to mine.

You can find video explenation here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5d9b18- ... b_imp_woyt

The game has several variants - 5 hex per edge/ 7 hex per edge, both with fixed or freestyle setup.

You can also toggle those options (as usual in the menu in the top right corner):
  • turn on/off coordinates
  • turn on/off displaying last move
  • and deseginer's best - turn off the possible move highlight to get best visual experience from the game

Happy playing and testing, any feedback welcome!

I need to remove an outdated rules link on the game page. I have tried reporting the link, but each time I do, the BGA moderators remove the other rules link, i.e. the good one that I did not report. I can't find any way to contact BGA about this, so I'm posting here. Is there any other way to remove this outdated rules link besides continuing to report it, and hoping that the mods eventually get it right? I feel like a real doofus uploading the same rulebook over and over, reporting the outdated link, seeing that the mods removed the new link, and doing it all again.

The link I'm trying to remove also points to a different site for online play, which is against BGA rules and makes this even more ridiculous. Any insight is appreciated.

I removed the link to an external website.
A link to a pdf was available and has now become the default. I suppose it's the proper one, otherwise please let me know.
