13 Clues now in Beta

Post by MGoulet »

Hi BGA player

13 Clues puts players in the shoes of the detectives, each trying to solve their own mystery. Each player sees the clues — person + location + weapon — for the other players but not their own. They investigate by asking questions, by consulting the secret informant, and by making accusations in order to collect clues and rule out suspects. The goal of the game is to identify which of the 13 clues match their case before the others do!

What are you waiting for?

congrats !

I'm not very convinced with UI : on a computer, I have played in a corridor with lots of space lost on the left, on the right and all cards are so tiny.

I'm not that convinced with the game either... I've played a 4 player game.
All players did look at Secret information cards on 4 first rounds, they've asked only one question and then made only accusations 'til one of them was lucky enough to win the game...
Did I miss something ?

That is an option to play but I think mostly the time because they don’t know how to play. When they always try, they give so many info away that another will win easy.

For me, the only thing is that online you can search through history. In real life, you need to pay attention and if you forget an action you must ask again.

For UI on computer, you are right. Now I use display: flex to better display the game on computer (screen > 1300px); I reorder also component. Thanks for your comment.

Hello ! Thanks for this nice game :)
I still have a question :
What is the difference between fast and classic set up ? I don't find them in the rules pdf.

Nice job !

when possible, I also try to avoid clockwise display and stick to players'panel order.

We tried to play 13 Clues but had to abandon it because we discovered there is no list of what the 10 people, locations and weapons are in order to determine which ones are missing from our view. In the actual game you get a pad with all the choices listed, but we can’t find that anywhere on the BGA screen while playing.

There is a board where all missing options are blank? So it is present? The same that you see on the picture above at the bottom. I don’t see what you need more to play this game..

I can see the cards the other players have, but never having played before I don’t know which cards are missing that might be in my board?

After (!) the first turn (passing three cards to the player on your left), a player aid with all possible cards is displayed below the player boards. Have you scrolled downwards?
