Watch & Play at Same Time

Hi there, I'm hosting a game night where, because of our size, we frequently want to split into 2 groups to play 2 different games at the same time. We can do this easily, and use video on BGA to participate. But coming back together at the right time is a problem.

Frequently we'll get back together, via an external video conferencing platform, and find that the other group got tired of waiting and has started a new game. It would be great to be able to spectate on the second game to keep track of their progress and to use the chat. Is that possible somehow?

I would use an external program like discord which allows users to share their screen.

The spectate part is possible - if you click on the friends list at the top of the screen, you'll get a list of what friends you have on the site that are online

If they are in a game, it says something like 'Now Playing at [game name]' you can click on the name of the game and be taken to the table. As for chatting as spectators, I think it's dependent upon your karma scores. I'm not sure what the threshold is, but it's something that became restricted a while ago. That way you can watch the remainder of their game and then change how the group splits for the next game(s).

As long as you're all mutual friends on here, you should be able to find them like that, but I don't know if that is true for mobile/tablet users, I play strictly on a PC browser

This only applies to "real-time" games.

They can also get to a list of the based games and click on the correct one of they know what game they are playing.

Does training mode count? I assumed it was real-time because the OP talked about 'game nights', but I could see training mode being used so they don't get the countdowns
