Is this pratice allowed ?

Post by Keenkhar »

I've just finished a downforce game, and the result was unexpected ...

https://boardgamearena.com/7/downforce?table=175990254

We have 3 players, same nationality, they joined the game in one second, and they all bet on the car which was at the last position most of time.
After a player crossed the third bet line, suddenly they all move the green car to make it win (The green car was at 5th place at this moment).

So there is only two options :
- it was the same player with 3 accounts
- they are friends and they coordinate themselves with a discord by exemple.

In both of case, i consider this as cheating. Others players have absolutly no chance to win.
I hope something will be done to prevent that, because i won't stand to pay if this behavior is spreading.

BGA explicitly forbids:
(1) Playing on multiple account in order to increase the ELO / Arena rating of one of your accounts
(2) Kingmaking, so the act of willingly playing against your own interest to favour another player

Both can (and should) be reported, and if a moderator agrees with you (which, if your description is correct, should be the case), the associated account will have anything from a karma penalty to being banned.

[To report a player, the easiest is to go on their player profile and click on the button on the top right]

More repeats dont make false claims come true suddenly. You cant report anyone for kingmaking, and the only available measure, giving a red thumb, is useless.
And good luck finding someone that actually cares about multiaccounting, haha

@keen: sorry for the bad experience, that sucks
