Through the ages - Update

Post by Mondrakete »

I think a lot of players are excited about the additional cards for through the ages. How can i find out about IF or WHEN or HOW these new cards will be updated here at BGA?

Yes, I'm also eagerly awaiting the new leaders and wonders to be added. Wonder where can we find out more on this development on BGA.

The bug tracker is a good way to quantify how actives are the devs on maintaining and updating a game.
For Through the Ages, none of the bugs reported since late 2019 were acknowledged by an active dev (let alone fixed). Admittedly a lot of those bug reports are peoples not understanding the rules, but those aren't tagged as "not a bug" either.
One suggestion (civil cards in hand publicly displayed) was implemented mid-2020, but not by an active dev for TtA, rather from a "bounty hunter" who goes through all the games and deal with the most upvoted suggestions that are easily implementable.

And since the game stopped being maintained before the expansion was out, it's possible the editor was never contacted about the possibility of implementing the expansion on BGA. It's quite likely that the last active dev for TtA moved to something else and no one took the mantle, so nothing is gonna change up until some voluntary dev decides to take the case into his own hands.
