What are XP points for ?

Some tournements give some XP Points
But what are XP points for ?

Nothing.

XP are just a way to count achievements.

BGA chose to give a different value to each achievements (because 100 victories at a 5min game is not the same as 100 victories at a 1h game), so they get different "XP value", and peoples can compare their achievements with each other by using their number of XP rather than their number of achievements. But that's it, nothing more.
