My take on this - as there is no secret information/goals in the game all of the scoring information is available to the other players. Showing that score doesn't take away from the game. When playing live its easier to see the point value of cows as they are purchased, value of hazards, and gauge someone's progress with their bonus tiles. Though I've never stopped to total their scores I have a decent idea of how I'm doing against them. In an online version that same info is available but I'd have to keep a close eye on what is clicked, scroll down to review the other player's boards, scroll through the log, etc. Same result as showing the score, just more cumbersome. I think showing the score is a reasonable accommodation given that your eyes may not be glued to your screen when playing and the info is not secret in the game.

I'd be very interested in playtesting, if the developer is still taking on new people!

These are reasonable points.

You may have changed my mind on this.

I would be extremely interested in testing Great Western Trail. I have played it extensively in real life.

Wow! I can't find Great Western Trail in the Alpha games list. Is it "hidden"?
