The Voodoo ladder is formed by 3 divisions.
[*] 1st and 2nd division are invitation only, 15 players each and Round Robin. First 4 from 2nd division play playoffs with last 4 from 1st division, fighting for 1 more month in the land of milk and honey, using this month for the first time the group system in alpha test. Looser are relegated to the bloody battlefields of 2nd division.
Last 2 from 2nd division need to proof their skills in the nightmare of 3rd division, trying to fight their way back up.
[*] 3rd division is open for everybody, access level for the ladder and first 2 are promoted automatically to a chance in 2nd division.
Players who are caught kicking their opponents exploring an eventual overtime loose their scores at the end of the month and are relegated to 3rd division. Use your dices to win. You may even use needles, fire and homemade voodoo dolls, but we don't need broken Egos who try to win by any chance.
All players score during each month and in December, we hope to be able to play our finals for real with match play and cubes in the actually alpha tested Backgammon match play version.
Qualified players will be:
First from 3rd division
First and 2nd from 2nd division
Top 8 from the overall scoreboard and
Top 5 from first division, not qualified from the overall scoreboard.
We are going to play 4 groups of 4 and top 2 of each group go to 2nd round, single elimination.
There are voices suggesting to play 2nd round real time and final live on real boards, transmitted in a zoom meeting.
