Show Realtime Game Speeds in Settings

It appears that the realtime game speeds vary for each game, which is good. In settings the options are fast, normal, and slow. However, there is no way to tell until the game begins how much time is allowed for the selected speed for that particular game. I find that "normal" allows plenty of time for nearly all games. However, I hesitate to even play some games realtime because I know that they will require a much longer time per turn to analyze the current situation and develop a strategy to proceed. I might be okay with normal or slow if I could see what the allowed time was. So my suggestion is to do something like showing the allowed time in parentheses to the right of the description. For example, instead of "Real-time • Normal speed", have "Real-time • Normal speed (3 minutes)"

Do you mean on the play now screen? If you view a table, you can see the info you want on the left side of the screen under "Table Configuration". I'd generally recommend viewing a table anyway to see what karma people around it have, but I don't think it would be a bad idea to just have that little bit more info on the play now screen too

I mean on the Play Now screen when I set the configuration for automatic. When I am playing a new game that might require some extra thinking time, it would help to know how much time would be allowed before I create a realtime table and discover too late that there might not be enough time allowed and I should have created a TB table instead.

At that point, I still do not have a table created. I could look at existing realtime tables to see what time is allowed for a setting, but I would have to go through several tables to find ones with each of the settings fast, normal, and slow. It would be so much easier if it could be shown in the Play Now configuration pop-up.

If I go to manual, I can look at the tables awaiting players, but again it is unlikely that there will be tables there with each of the settings.

I agree about looking at a table before joining to check the karma. When I create tables I always specify very restrictive. I learned that after having problems with players with low karma my first few games.

Well, that would also apply to arena tbh, bc there you can't play manual so you never even know these time controls.

I second this suggestion. It would be really useful to see the time per move when selecting options for automatic game matching.
