Game disappeared

Post by Stormbirdd »

Our group has been playing games on BGA for about six months now with no issues until last night.

Four of us started a game of Roll for the Galaxy, played several rounds of it and then went to bed. We had the game set for No Time Limit. This morning the game is gone. There are no Notifications for anyone (that it expired or someone left or something like that): the game is simply not there at all for anyone.

So this is not a big deal - we'll just start another one - but I am curious whether this has ever happened to anyone?

Thanks.

I see it is abandonded.

My guess is this was played in 'real time' mode and not 'turn based mode'. Real time mode times the game out after a few hours without any moves.

But we started it and ran four or five rounds just last night, and it is set - as you can see - for No Time Limit. So what happened?

No time limit exists both in real time and turn based, but Real time games are automatically killed after a while (X hours) if inactivity

I was really busy a few months ago, and I learnt that for turn-based games, the limit is about a month, so they both actually have limits, which is fair enough.
