This is obviously forbidden and totally unfair.

However, this is very difficult to detect/moderate. If you look at Chess for example, all websites that offer online chess are suffering from the same problem.

The good thing is that the majority of games here has some luck or hidden information which make the usage of this kind of tool way more harder :p

If the problem becomes too important with Chess or Connect 4, our probable response may be to disable Arena mode and top ELO awards for these games.
Thank you for the very clear reaction. Good to know that it is clearly forbidden (though hard to act on, but that is very understandable).

Hi,

Indeed, you need to close the Arena and rewards for top ELO for these games (Chess and Connect 4).
I prefer playing on chess.com or litchess.com with a fast time to avoid having the tile touse an engine.

For Chess, another possibility is to use a low timer like 'two minutes" with no increment. In this case, we do not have the time to use an engine :)

Thanks,

I think lichess is doing pretty well on their anti-cheating system, I have like 2k-3k+ games there and I don't recall the last time I've played a cheater. It is also open-source so it could theoretically be implemented here. That said though, I'd imagine it'd be difficult to implement such thing for other abstracts as well.

But then you really get a problem that people can’t think anymore. I always remember chess as a game where people are thinking long.

The fact is that you don’t win anything here except some virtual stuff that is useless. If they want, I can create a site where they get thousand rewards if they want to show that they can win with chess.. but yeah people cheat for peanuts…
