This is not just an English text issue or a website bug, so I think this is the best place for it.
When creating a new bug report, the category options are not translated. The strings are not listed in the system: https://boardgamearena.com/translation? ... 20a%20game
More importantly, the wording implies the first option should only be used when something has occurred at a specific table, which results in a significant amount of reports (mainly suggestions) being incorrectly filed under the "main website" section. Many people also don't know where to find these table numbers, so they just pick the option that doesn't require one.
I can understand that a table number is required for technical reasons and that it's too much work to change this, but there must be some quick wins here:

I can understand that a table number is required for technical reasons and that it's too much work to change this, but there must be some quick wins here:
- Add a line above the drop-down list: "If your report is related to a game's implementation in any way (even a general bug or suggestion for the game), then choose the first option. Otherwise, the game's developer will not see it."
- Reword the options (and add them to the translation system):
- "A game on the website": more general and no mention of a table number requirement, so people don't skip the option because they don't know what that is.
- "The website in general (not related to a game)"
- After selecting an option, display an additional warning below the list:
- Option 1 (game): "A table number is required even for general bugs and suggestions concerning a game (in that case, any table is valid). For a specific bug, please look up the exact table where the issue occurred.
You can find your table numbers here: https://boardgamearena.com/gamestats." - Option 2 (website): "Only use this option if your report is not related to a game in any way, but a global issue regarding BGA and its interface. Other reports will be ignored."
