report disruptive/offensive spectators

I was just in a game where someone showed up drunk as a spectator and started disrupting the game.

I can give him a private red thumb, but not a public one, since I have not played him, and nor can I report him.

I see there is a locked thread from 4 years ago asking for this function, but still we don't have it.

If someone can disrupt my play, I should be able to report them.

Report button is separate from red thumbs, there's a button at the left of message the player for that.

But when I tried to report, I got an automated message saying I could not, as I had not played this person.

Have you actually done this successfully?
