Patchwork doesn't have luck: there should be 0 luck in the game label, not 3.

Post by Etoclas »

Hi everyone!

As in the title, Patchwork doesn't have any luck factor, just the initial random placement of the patches around the board.

The game label scores 3 luck factor, which in my opinion is not truthful.

What do you think about it?

Have a nice day/evening,

I don't care those labels anymore. They are so inconsistent.

That's because they are filled by game dev that most of the time juste forget to change them to default value (3)...

The random tiles creating the starting position and often 1 player get an easy advantage out of it. I would call it luck. But like other said, I usually don't care much about the tags.

Of course there is a lot of luck (maybe not a rating of 3 but a rating of 2 in my opinion).
The tile order can make your life much easier or much harder.

Hi dschingis27,
do you think a human could calculate who's going to have the advantage from the tiles disposition?

I mean, even with that, the luck score should be brought to 1, in my opinion.

That's randomized set up, not luck. Dice f.e. add luck to a game.

Even dice won't have luck elements if they were to be rolled during setup only.

What? How is a randomized setup that favors one of the two players not luck?
