Infos how such a tournament works

Hi all
I would like to register for a Backgammon Tournament. I’ve never played a tournament
How does this work out in time ?
What does that mean:
time allotted to each player: 2 days?
Has a player towo days for all games or for the Tournament?
I don't really understand thus rules, soory.
Please, can someone explan me how does this work exactly with such a tournament ?

I'm Germany (but can read English quite good), so best would be an explanation in German as a PN

That's time per game. Usually, the game maximum duration is (time alloted to each player x # of players). If it was for the tournament, it wouldn't be 2 days per game like turnbased, it'd practically be a realtime tourney given lots of players, but realistically, that would mean no sleep lol.
