Slow matchmaking

Something has changed in the last month.

When I click on 'play game', it now taking 3 times as long to find an opponent.

Its now very common to wait 8-10 min to find an opponent and get the game started.

I've deleted cache, removed and reinstalled the app many times and it does nothing.

I used to play about 2 hours a day. I've now reduced that to about 2 games a day and soon will be deleting the app for good as I cant sit around for 10 min waiting to play

It's not the best way to report sth strange but provide as little details as possible.

Which games do you usually play? Do you play Arena or Simple Mode? Have you sure not changed something in the settings?

In earlier years, there was a notable drop in BGA traffic in the European summer months. Not sure how much this effect is present in the current year though. Also sometimes some old popular games suffer a little bit from the introduction of a new shiny game. And there have been many great new games in recent months. (E.g. I think there was a notable drop in 7Wonders traffic at the time when Res Arcana was released.)

One explanation would be that you collected a whole bunch of private red thumbs and other players are secretely avoiding you.

In the end, all my thoughts are pure speculation.
