How can I see game options without starting a game? [SOLVED]

Hello,

Is there any way I can see what game Table Configuration options exist without actually starting a game? For instance, if I want to see what expansions are available for Dice Hospital, I pick "Play Now" - Then I pick my son as an opponent, then the Table Configuration options come up. My son is sent a notification to join, even if I just wanted to see what expansions were available.

Is there a way to get to that Table Configuration screen without inviting someone?

You could always pull up a game that is in progress and then look at the options for that game. Hamburger icon in top right, then scroll down to bottom.

Thanks, tried that. The Options page does come up when I do that, but it is not the Table Config page I am looking for. For instance, if you pull up an in progress game of Dice Hospital, clicking on the Hamburger icon, I see the Preferences and Game Options, but what I am looking for only seems to only appear in the Table Configuration page. I want to know which expansions are available. If I launch a "fake game" I have no intention of playing with my son, then I can change Training Mode to Normal Mode, and that brings up the list of options. Under Game Setup, there is "Dice Hospital" and "Dice Hospital + Experimental Medicine mini-expansion". And in Hard Mode, there are all sorts of options for enabling Superbugs and Epidemics. That's the info I would like to find without launching a game.

Often my gaming group has discussions such as "Did BGA add the Agricola - Farmers of the Moor" expansion? Did Stone Age add the Mammoths expansion? Etc.. It seems the only way to tell is to launch a "fake game" in order to see the Table Config. Is there a better way?

I don't know what you're doing, but you can just open an empty table, with no one invited, and not open to anyone else (yet). In the lobby, select "Manual" in the top right button (FRIENDS / AUTOMATIC / MANUAL), and "simple game" in the top left one (SIMPLE GAME / ARENA / TOURNAMENTS). I assume you have your game in favorites, then just click on its "Play now!" button if it's not already expanded, and there should be a "Create a new table" bar with a "Create" button at the right. Click it, and there you can see all options.

Ah, perfect! Thanks, should have thought of that. My drop-down was set to FRIENDS, so of course, it always wanted me to invite a friend. I changed it to manual, and that is exactly what I wanted to see. Thanks for replying!
