Why I can't Cook my sheep ?

Hello,

I have a pen of one hut with a stable, and one hut without a pen with a stable, I had 2 sheep and 2 cows, and I have the fireplace upgrade.

After the harvesting phase, I knew that in the birthing phase I would have to sacrifice a sheep or a cow, but I told myself that it didn't matter since I had the chimney, I would cook the animal.

But here is, arrived at the fateful moment, I reorganize my animals so that I have one sheep left outside (3 cows in the pen, one sheep in the stable and one sheep in the house) and there I have only one button "cook 0 sheep and discard 1 sheep"...

Did I miss something in the rules? Or should I create a topic in the bug section?

You can't cook babies if you can't accomodate them first, that's in the rules.

I'm Sorry but, in the page 8 of the english rules book :

"If you have an improvement with the symbol (see Fireplace and Cooking Hearth on page 10), you can turn the
animals that you take from an accumulation space into food directly. In this case, you do not have to accommodate
them on your farm first."

EDIT : Oh I I just saw on the next page : "You are
explicitly forbidden to turn the parent animals or the newborn into food during the
breeding phase."
I think I understand my mistake, it's only for the animals I take from the board, not from the breeding... It's a bit tricky to put that two informations far apart from each other but okay. Thank you !

Exactly.
Notice that the game is user friendly on that because it still allow to cook animals during breeding to make rooms for newborns while strictly enforcing this rule about no-cooking parents and babies, instead of the usual "no cooking during breeding" rule.

I have 2 sheeps and 2 pigs and want to cook 1 sheep before breeding, which would result in food + 1 sheep + 3 pigs.

But I only have the button "confirm : cook 0 sheep 0 pig, lose 1 sheep 1 pig". I - of course - have the cooking device.

Maybe I don't see something ? Can someone help please ? (ANYTIME before the breeding should allow me to cook and not loose it)

OK, managed it finally, thanks. I guess I didn't find it at first because I was expecting to find the cook icon.
