Slow computer performance

When playing Agricola my computer slows down to a crawl about half the time. Some games run fine all the way through. This usually happens in the second half of the game. I can't even finish a game. Either I quit or get kicked out. I have a decent Mac desktop with decent enough internet. My son is over there playing online shooters so I'm thinking a game of Agricola isn't taxing my internet. Does anyone have any tips for me? Hitting f5 helps sometimes but takes 2 min to reload. This has happened in some other games here also but Agricola has me really wanting to find a solution.

Any tips would be great.

If you're on Safari browser, can you try with Chrome ?

My guess is you are using safari...there are several games on here, mainly newer ones (or re-implemented ones like 7 Wonders), that are just awful with safari. If you have google chrome that will likely solve your problems.

Wow, that seems to have done the trick. I had no idea. Now to rehabilitate my reputation.
