Online near me

Hi
i just noticed that my drop down list of online friends now includes people who are not my friends. How do i stop this? It is unwelcome and intrusive.

The user that i am seeing listed as online near me appears to live in the Czech Republic, which is half a continent away from the UK where I live.

I find that list useful to identify friends that are available to play, so spamming it with people i do not know makes it less useful.

I can see that some people might like this feature which might promote some community connections and lead to wild online romances, but it should be optional and accurate. Is there is a preference that i can use to turn the feature off?

Maybe your list of online friends includes people who friended you, but you have not friended? I had this, and could only stop it be blocking the person.

An option to limit to reciprocal friends would seem the obvious solution.

(With a 2nd option for 'open to wild online romance, regardless of location', of course. )

I am having this issue too. I would NOT like to see these random users in my list. Did you find a way to resolve it?
