Buying back "Even bigger !"

I lost a game to a hair because I thought by buying back "Enven Bigger !" from a player it would substract 2 life points from his total ; it didn't, leaving him with 1 hp and the means to win the game.

I checked an online version of the manual and it apparently is supposed to happen that way ?
It says, "if this card is lost you lose the 2 hearts" ; maybe it's just an old version of the rule, but I'd just like to make sure that this is how it was supposed to happen

It should just set the maximum back to 10 and if the player has above 10 health, they have 10.

I added the answer about it too the doc you can find at the end of the How to play section. He lose 2 life of he is at 12, because his max is now 10, else he don't lose life.
