Win Streak

We just had a great streak tonight getting six 30s in a row playing 2player/Difficult/Powder (no flams). We also got 29s just before and after our streak. Keep in mind, getting 30 on difficult is much less common than on avalanche. Sometimes 30 isn't even possible.

I challenge anyone to try these settings and have a big win streak.

If you replay this, and our clues seems strange, it's because we are using some tricks;
Blank red or yellow saves 2 cards
Blank blue or green saves 1 card
Blank multi plays our chop card or saves a multi on chop
Blank 1 saves chop and plays newest card.
There are others and a few change meaning by how many cards are left in the deck, but this gives an idea of the tricks we are trying to use.

If you think you have solved avalanche, give difficult a try. It's much harder to get 30s.

These are unique to us. However, there were 20-30 players in a group I named "Wildcards" that competed in weekly contests for about 6 months in 2020. Each week I made up rules, and players could practice during the week and then we would compete on Sundays with preset decks. We also counted each card still in the deck as extra points on perfect games, so your scores could be higher than 30.

The rules were things like;
"all clues must touch at least 2 cards" on tricky
"no 1s, 2s, or 5s clues can be used"
"a 1.5 point bonus for each color not used"

So each week players made up other ways to clue plays or save cards to adjust to the restrictions. It was pretty fun and took you out of your comfort zone. These rules sound brutal, but they aren't as tough as they sound.

I might be interested in doing this again at some point.

Noone can "solve" anything.

The best you can do is create a system which scores the highest average of the widest variety of decks.

New systems are interesting, but this sounds very dependent on luck.
