Ridiculous time ranking

In a tournament of King of Tokyo, game #211940556, I killed a player darthlatek. Then time was out and the game was forced to terminate. He ranked before me and I was eliminated. Even though the policy is completely on remaining time, regardless of points, HP, cards, I think there’s no way to position a player already dead infront of others! It’s pretty clear he should be the last one as the first dead. For this ridiculous accident, I lost 34 ELO dropping from 332 to 298!

Sounds like BGA bugged... Or he had a card that he could activate as he was damaged and stalled... If he stalled, that's not fair.

Yes, this kind of logic only works properly in 2-player games, I guess when the tournament system got a multiplayer upgrade BGA have not thought about this situation. I think it comes from the fact that the game (King of Toyko) is a game where there is only 1 winner. You didn't have the most time and so join the losers bracket where it considers all the losers to have 'drawn' with each other - which they didn't.

Someone else also was eliminated in a tournament because of these positions in a timeout game. Seems very unfair in a game that never concluded.

There is a long standing bug where 'shared placement' is considered the same as a draw, and ELO is lost/gained when shouldn't be.

I guess 2 wrongs don't make a right, just a very big wrong.
