Media Friendly Card

Hi,

Quick question...upon buying the "media friendly card" which is when buying a card receive 1 VP. Shouldn't you receive a VP when you buy that card since you bought a card? I ask because some cards get applied right away and not just necessarily discard right away cards. Can't think off the top of my head a non discard card that gets applied right away.

Media Friendly: Gain 1 whenever you buy a Power Card (KoT Dark text for reference).

A power does not activite until after a card is bought, right?
But the card's power itself also only activates at the moment of purchase.

It's like buying the 10th sandwich at your local snack shack, filling up your customer loyalty card, and then after the purchase of your 10th sandwich, you tell them it should be free since you have a full loyalty card. It doesn't work that way.
