If it is important to you, why don't you follow the practice of the site to have new features implemented? Aesche already mentioned how this should be done.

Being noisy and hoping BGA will implement new features to keep you quiet is not a good idea; there are easier ways to keep people quiet than by coding a new feature. If you cannot convince enough other people to vote for a suggestion idea in the bug tracking system, then there is no way for BGA staff to believe it is important for the community.

The system isn't perfect. It may not even qualify as great or even good. But it is the system that exists. Sorry my French isn't well enough for me to type it out in that language.

The "suggestions" forum is somewhat misleading. It was created when BGA was small, and administrators (well, Een and Sourisdudesert) could read all of the posts without spending all day just reading posts. They also had a "Bugs" forum for reporting bugs.

As BGA has grown, a different system has been implemented. Bugs are now sent to a bug-tracking system, and are generally worked on in priority order based on how many people vote that it should be worked on.
Suggestions are also included in that system. The "suggestions" forum is generally for people to propose a change and get feedback on it. Once problems are identified by the community, and solutions proposed, then someone will place a suggestion in the bug-tracking system. They then place a link in the forum so people can easily vote on the suggestion, so BGA staff will prioritize working on it.

While the comment about it taking years to be implemented is a bit cynical, changes have been made because of these suggestions. It may take a while, but if it is important to several members of the community, it will be done.

BGA forums are here to be able to discuss with other members and get some help from the community. Using them to publicly address the devs or admins is counter productive since there are some better tools (see previous comments).

We read every suggestion or post, but we cannot answer everytime. When a suggestion is good, it is taken into account, this is what we do for years, but it sometimes take time.

When we do not answer, in general the reason is that the suggestion is not good, not appropriate for BGA, that we think that another feature do the trick or will do it in the future.

Hm, maybe it should be made clearer then why you guys don't answer the posts you don't answer. I've seen many small questions, especially in faq threads that remain unanswered

Well, "make it clear" = "answering", and we definitely cannot do it for every suggestion. But as I said, we read everything, and if you are here for a long time, you can see that most evolutions was previously suggestions - sometimes not the exact suggestions, but frequently something that solves the original issue.

Mmh...
